Description |
Heather Grindley's goal as an artist is to "depict human emotion and movement in a spontaneous and expressive way." A unique trait about found throughout Grindley's work is her ability to freeze her subjects in the midst of movement. Biographical Information: Grindley's formal art education includes studies at the Whitney School of Art, New Haven, Connecticut; the Open Studio, Toronto; and the Trillium Workshops, Mississauga. Early in her career, Grindley worked as a fashion illustrator and freelance commercial artist. Grindley is a member of the Society of Canadian Artists, the Ontario Society of Artists, the Mississauga-based Colour and Form Society, and various galleries and art groups throughout Mississauga and Toronto. Grindley has exhibited in Canada and internationally.Solo exhibitons of Grindley's art include shows at Gallery 306, Toronto; the Forge Gallery, Terra Cotta, Ontario; the Estee Gallery, Toronto; and Galerie Kampa, Hamm, Germany. |
