Renner has a Fine Art Diploma from Sheridan College and is an Elected Member of the Ontario Society of Artists, the Society of Canadian Artists, the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, and the Colour and Form Society. Also evident in her work is the prominent use of layers, both paint and symbolic. She is the recipient of over 30 awards including the Toni Stevens Award for Best Acrylic in the Society of Canadian Artists 50th Anniversary Exhibition in Calgary, Alberta; Central Ontario Art Association "Lloyd Minshall Award" and "COAA Award"; Toronto Watercolour Society "Award of Merit"; Central Ontario Art Association "Best of Show" and Colour and Form Society "Woolfitts Award".
