Description Canadian artist Don Carr has been inspired by his experiences living and working between Toronto and Italy over the past twenty years. As an artist, and now retired professor of art at McMaster University in Canada, his work has continuously evolved as he explores the limits of media and develops new work and themes through which he expresses the great ontological questions of our time. This particular work depicts a relief like, acanthus leafed face surrounded by vein pattern.

Biographical Information:

Don Carr has been featured in numerous exhibitions both in North America and Europe and is held in public and private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. He ponders the position of humanity as an architect of the world and attempts to bring perspectives of interpretation that expose self-delusions about permanency. His methods in doing so involve uniting elements from historical pasts with characteristics of the unknown, emphasizing the indivisible bond between the past, present, and indeed, the future.
