Biographical Information:

Lila Lewis Irving is a Canadian abstract painter. Irving was born and educated in the United States and moved to Canada in 1964. She has a BA in English from Brooklyn College , New York , an MFA in Theatre Arts from Iowa State University and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin. She is the recipient of many art awards and is the first ever winner of the Art Gallery of Mississauga 'Artist of Distinction' award in May 2013. She is also a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Ontario Society of Artists.
Irving has had numerous exhibitions in Canada, the Unites States, England, and Japan and is the recipient of many art awards . She has works in many private and corporate collections including: Scotia Bank, Torstar, Zurich Insurance, Princess Margaret Hospital , Noranda and IBM. In 2012, a retrospective of her work was show at the Art Gallery of Mississauga.
